P P Passion

Right now I should be asleep.

I should be being sensible and making sure I’m not tired when I drive to Wales tomorrow [checks clock] when I drive to Wales today.

I don’t want to be sensible. In my experience being sensible never really ever got me anywhere and, in fact, when I look back, the times when I was not sensible were actually a lot more fun and the moments when I really felt alive.

Passion and love count 99 percent of everything in the world.

  1. I beg to differ…… passion and love count for 99.9% of everything!

Passion and love motivate us to our greatest achievements and without them life is hollow and with little point. We go naturally to extreme and often painful lengths in search of those moments because they complete and fullfill us, love and passion are what we remember, what make us feel we are really living.

Passion and love are not ‘sensible’, emotion is not sensible but sensible is not profound, sensible is not feeling, sensible is not life altering in any deep sense and sensible can drain us of our ability to fly higher and look deeper.

My life has been lived following my heart, following the love and passion, I lost most else along the way but I wouldn’t have it any other way…….

  2. Speaking as a person who used to lead with “sensible”, I realised in time that sensible wasn’t working for me. Sensible was leaving me feeling half-dead at the end of the day.. emotionless.. passionless.. wondering, really, where my life was going and why. Was life supposed to be, in other words, mundane and passionless? Then, I met this man full of passion (and incredibly smart, I might add), and I started to see the light. He said, “If I died today, I would have no regrets. I’ve lived a full life.” I could not say that. Not even in the slightest. At first, I was envious, but then I started following my heart, feeling love and passion, and I started gaining so much that I can’t even put it into words. The more I give in to that, the more whole I feel.

It’s nice to feel alive at the end of the day. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. actually i consider all ironing too sensible. im a huge fan of either wash and wear or any clothes which look flat if you just dry them on the radiator.

i also object to shoe polishing. i love patent though!

im not sure these are sensible – just lazy.

but shoes……………im not sure i won a single pair of ‘sensible’ shoes.

  4. You see, I’ve tried this and I always looked like I’ve been chewed by a Bulldog with gum disease. Either I buy the wrong type of clothes or I’m doing it wrong. (I thought this for a long time about sex too and then I discovered that wrong is actually right which made things a whole lot easier and much more satisfying all round).

  5. Only 99%
I would have said all of it. 100%
Afterall where would you ever get if you didn’t love anything, had no passions, didn’t care about anything.
It’s no way to live I imagine. No point in being sensible all the time. Knowing what’s right and wrong but knowing how to have fun at the same time are where it’s at.

  6. What happens if you have passion and love for God who is not of this world? Does that mean that i only have 1% here on earth?
